We did not know the resident. So, we checked the reviews online, were impressed and then contacted them. Sam was our salesman. Sam was extremely professional, punctual and honest. We had all intentions of receiving other quotes before committing, but we liked everything about RRR and Sam. We put a deposit down on the spot and had a new roof three weeks later, when the weather improved. Our roof was replaced in two days. No dumpster out front in the street or on our property. They cleaned up each day and removed the old supplies magically in their roofing buggy! We had a handful of neighbors stop and say "I can't believe how fast your roof was completed." Everyone that knows me, knows that I'm extremely obsessive about my lawn and gardens. I must admit that I was a little worried about my property at the start of this project, but I found no damage to the gardens or lawn = IMPRESSIVE. On the second day, the roofing buggy had a hydraulic hose leak in our driveway, leaking a small amount of oil. Types of Standing Seam Metal Roofing
Standing seam metal roofing comes in a variety of configurations. Each one interlocks a little bit differently, and they all provide different types of protection.
Snap-Lock
Snap-lock roofing systems have special edges that snap together with a male leg and a female leg. It doesn’t require the standing seam metal roof contractor to hand or mechanically fasten because they are secured by a simple click in place. Since this requires less labor, it results in lower costs. Snap-lock roofing can be installed in any environment as long as it is installed according to manufacturer specifications.
Mechanical Lock
Mechanical lock roofing systems have edges that line up together. Once lined up, they require the use of a mechanical seamer to bend and secure them in place. They come in single lock and double lock profiles for better performance and insulation in colder weather.
Batten Panel
Batten panel roofing systems have edges that line up together and are secured by a metal cap to create the seam. Depending on the type of cap, some are more secure than others. The more secure the cap, the better the roofing system will perform in inclement weather environments.
